Summoner

So I am currently working on a new piece at the moment inspired by a competition. Probably not going to finish it in time to enter the comp. I am at the thumbnail part at the moment. I want to rework the pose but the general idea is there.

I quickly applied some values just to see if the image would work the way I hope. Quiet pleased with the general direction but there is alot of work that needs doing. Background needs alot of direction.

More stylised approach.

Greetings all and welcome to the new blog.
It is all change with a new design (currently in progress), new focus (learning to draw in a manga style) and a new blog title.
Over the next few months you will see many changes in the design of this site so expect to see new things added and moved about.

Well anyway lets get back to the blog.
I was feeling abit rusty in my figure drawing so these next few sketches are more of a warm up for later projects. I drew the figures as I would normally then I tried changing how I managed the lines. Trying to go for a more simplistic stylised approach. I think my lack of knowlage in human muscle structure prevented me from going wild with the stylisation. Still this was a very useful excersize.

Back again.

So I am back from my hiatus. The magazine has been finished and I will have a link up very soon.

Anyway back to the drawings. I was recently challenged by a friend er mortal foe to produce a finished piece. The thing about me is I have been studying because I lacked confidence to produce finished works. The studying has payed off but I still have a long way to go.

This project has seen me useing a reference. I used a combo of illustrator and photoshop. On a side note I have missed blogging. It is nice to finally be back. Expect lots of spam updates from me soon.

Anyway here is the work process.
I have went from line art to colour to prvent this post getting too long.
