Some bleach fan art

Wanted to quickly study anime shading. I think this took too long to be honest but I learnt what I needed to so yeah good study session. May do a tutorial soon if I can find the time.

Just for legal sake, I do not own bleach or any of the characters, etc please support the official release yada yada yada.

Manga pose

Decided to do a quick break down of how I work this morning. Keep in mind this sketch is for study purposes only so my line art is not as tight as I could make it. Normally I would take it into a program like illustrator to get neat lines.

So I logged on to posemaniacs for a quick random drawing.

This took about 20 minutes (probably not even that). after completing this piece I decided to do a very quick mock up of how I would go about drawing the upper body.

First step.

I quickly mark up a gesture line (red) and then add rough guides as to where the head and torso are.

Second step.

Using the knowledge I have learnt from months of studying proportions I sketch in the details.

Finally I ink the drawing with a hard black brush at 100% opacity. 

This was a fun warm up exercises which may become my daily routine.

Some manga goodness

So I have been very busy these past few days. I managed to get one request from a friend done which I am proud of. I also managed to get a picture of Tobuscus done which I hope to send to him very soon. I have noticed I have improved alot since I last posted. Everything is starting to click. May start a massive project soon. I have 2 in mind but I do feel I still need abit more practise.

I think my next goal is to get some portraits done to boost my profile abit. Also I need to get my damn facebook page up and running (and redesign this site)

First my request. She sent me her picture and I drew it. Learnt alot from it so thanks.

Reluctant to call this a speed painting but it was quick. I would say around 3 hours (half the time of the previous image)

Extremely quick speed painting. This was done with ref from posemaniacs.com I think I am getting to grips with lighting. Great warm up exercises.

In other news I have been looking at some manga comics. I look forward to getting to that level XD
